No. The songs are presented in streaming Real Audio format which cannot be downloaded. All of the songs used on this site are representative of a private collection which spans a period starting in the early 50's. If you enjoy these song samples, please support the artists and recording companies by purchasing the songs from the proper source.
Net congestion is caused by heavy user traffic on the Net or the site. This heavy usage will cause the Real Audio file to pause, while the player preloads the file, before continuing to stream. If this is the case, you will see a "Net congestion" message at the bottom of the Real Audio player. This is normal and is more apt to happen with slower connection speeds and/or during the peak usage hours on the Net or the site.
No. This is referred to as "direct linking" and increases the traffic burden on our site. If you linked to a file on our site, so that it showed up on your site as your own file, we would be paying for the usage of that file on your site as well as our own. We rename our files regularly to discourage this practice.
